Time Period: Season 2, near the beginning the Cricket Game.
Summary: Too much has happened.

I just realised how much Mary Margaret (Snow) there's been lately --- and here's another. Wow.
Maybe the next story won't be her … maybe?

She knows the glass hides her, that she can't be seen through it but when Regina's eyes lift, very slightly, and meet hers, she flinches. She heard the shock and surprise when Regina heard of the murder, saw the pain when Regina realises that they mean her and that's why she's been brought in, what Henry will hear --- and believe.
Regina's trying to change, she knows. For Henry, trying to win him back. Henry was why Emma had invited her to the party. Henry had spent time with Regina at the party, enjoying the time he spent with the former Queen. He didn't know the Evil Queen. He just knew Regina. His mother.
But she can't forget what Regina has done, even if she has forgiven her. She remembers the knife, how it had sung true when Regina had brought it to bear.
On her.
Snow keeps watching, forces herself to watch the scene through the glass. The memory of that knife flashes again and again. When it had hit her; she can imagine it slicing skin and flesh if Rumpelstiltskin hadn't cast that spell to protect her and David.
No. Regina didn't deserve pity this time. Well, maybe pity but not the mercy Snow had shown then. Not when she had killed Doctor Hopper (it's easier to think of him as Doctor and not Archie; then the tears would flow and she wanted to hear, to see).
She folds an arm about her, brings her other hand to her mouth.
No. No mercy this time. Regina did it (the knife flashes in her mind's eye); she knows her stepmother and nothing is ever not deliberate with Regina. She had argued with him. Red had seen her go into his office that night.
She squashes the niggling doubt that murmurs what if ... when Emma and David come into the room where she is.
