Thinking of episode 3, I began thinking of Emma accepting Mary Margaret’s offer of her spare room.

When she first came to town, Henry in tow, there was polite interest and virulent malice. She hadn’t expected Mary Margaret.
The offer for Emma to spend the night in Mary Margaret’s spare room seems to come from nowhere. Mary Margaret tells her small details about Storybrooke; information Emma would have to sweat from the others.
But Mary Margaret ...
She doesn’t know what makes her turn up to accept the spare room. Maybe it’s because no one else will talk to her. Maybe it’s because Mary Margaret has cinnamon in her hot chocolate.
That’s it; the cinnamon. It’s not because Mary Margaret has extended a hand and Emma’s decided to grasp it, hold on and hope she’s right in trusting the school teacher.
Yep. It’s the cinnamon.
