All I seem to post about is Project Runway these days. But myohmy, what an episode! Even Santino has grown on me a bit. *ducks* What? His real voice sounds like someone simultaneously stabbing kittens and drowning babies. He should totally talk like Tim Gunn all the time; it would be much more melodious.
I have to say, since they only got $100 each, it would be hard to make an entire dress of just flowers, NINA. They really did the shake up, making us think Chloe would be out. Her dress turned out okay, though, in the end, and the cap was a cute addition.
Santino's dress wasn't too bad. I love those varigated hostas, but they were really shiny. It could have fit better, but I liked the sweep of the top. Suprising, as I haven't liked anything he's made since the initial challenge that he won.
I'll talk about Andrae and Nick together. I think that Andrae's was just a little bit better than Nick's, but it was a really tough call. None of the dresses were terrible; I think we're really down to the best of the bunch. Nick's was not well constructed, especially the bust area. But, it's got to be really really hard to make a dress out of flowers in fourteen hours. I mean, come on. I'm really sorry that Andrae is gone, and his fab model will also have to be out, because Winny McWinnerson won't chuck his model.
Speaking of whom, Daniel's dress was pretty fab. I really liked the color at the bust, though the straps looked a little strange. I think he was joking about the "Oh, my, where do I put this winning card? Here? No. Here? No, here! I've won three challenges THE JUDGES LOVE ME." But now he's won FOUR. I hope he's not getting a big head."
And Kara. Kara actually showed up really well on this challenge. I still think she's odd, but work like this dress and her dress for the Banana Republic Challenge show that she deserves to still be in. And if the previews are any judge, I think she might make it to the top four. Oh, geez.
At this point, it's so hard. Someone I like isn't going to make it to the final three. It's just an inevitablility. At least this time Santino isn't as awful as Wendy Pepper was. I mean, he's definitely turned down the bravado and has at least communicated with his fellow contestants instead of completely alienating them.
On a related note, I've also been watching the episodes of Project Catwalk (the British version, starring Elizabeth Hurley) and it's pretty good, too. The thing I like about that version is that they focus a lot more on the contestants' real lives and their interactions in the house. They have them all live in the same house, which is more conducive to that sort of thing than the separate apartments on separate floors of Project Runway.
Also, I've discovered (to my slight embarrassment) Campus Ladies on Oxygen! Dudes, it's actually pretty funny. It kind of reminds me of Undeclared. If you're flipping channels and nothing else is on, you might want to check it out.
I'm still nursing QI. I have most of Season Three left to watch, but I have all three seasons on mp3 now, so I can listen to the hilariousness on the go.
