Seriously. I agreed with everything. This episode was totally freaking fantastic.
(I totally called the two who would be on the runway last, by the way. If you don't believe me, call my mom. I told her it would be K & Z at 6:00 p.m. EST. My prize, please?)
First, all the Daniel V fans? I get it now. I'm in your camp. He was so sweet to Nick when he was devastated by the loss of his model. It really seems like Daniel is nice to everyone. Well, maybe not Zulema, but come on! Woik oiff? It spiced things up for about three seconds but it didn't change the fact that, basically, you're not that great of a designer.
Chloe had me underwhelmed. Even though the dress wasn't all turquoise, it was still there. It does kind of annoy me that you can totally tell who will be up for the chop by how much air time they get before the runway. I mean, now that you're down to seven designers, you can at least show the work in progress for all of them!
Santino's wasn't as awful as usual, but I don't know what he's thinking. He must not be able to sew very well, is all I can say. His model is GORGEOUS and he's made her look fat three times now. At LEAST. I will say that while his own voice is like Satan's minions screaming in agony, his Tim Gunn impression is totally hilarious. I can't wait till he gets called on it next week.
Kara, I don't even have anything to say about her. Unless she wows the judges next time, I think she'll be the next one out. Which is really sad, because then there will only be one chick left!
Let's get Zulema over with next. Blah blah blah. That's all she ever does is talk, but when she gets on the runway, her dresses speak for themselves. Unfinished, directionless blobs. Even her winning design last week was nothing great. She set herself up for a fall with the walk off. It's called hubris, darling, look it up.
I kind of blanked on Nick's design, because of all the drama surrounding it. I think his really didn't look like his inspiration picture, but it was nice enough. Part of me wanted him to suck it up and win to get Tarah back, but I was glad that after his initial shock that he was able to bond with the new model and get the best out of her. I agree with Michael Kors, tho. Enough with the fish tails!
Andrae! I really thought he was going to win! I think that if they could have given a tie, they would have. When they showed his eyeroll in the teaser, I was worried, but he really came up trumps this challenge.
And Danny V. What a great inspiration, and an interesting, beautiful garment. My idea of who's making it to the final three is changing. I think he'll be there. And how cute was Michael Kors, "I'm a Dan Fan!" THERE'S your icon.
