My winter love affair with Metro has officially begun!
Riddle me this: We have snow (the anxiety that this produces can be the subject of an entirely different entry). Transportation spokespeople (from all levels and municipalities) get on television and ask people to use public transit to minimize the number of incidents on the road and to maximize ease of travel under these "conditions." Fine. Seems smart to me.
But wait ... Metro then runs FOUR CAR TRAINS during rush hour. Not six (as usual), not eight (as you might do if you are ACTIVELY ENCOURAGING MORE PEOPLE TO USE PUBLIC TRANSIT), but four. Such brilliance during an event where they had time to plan and react to natural events makes you wonder what kind of choas would ensue if something bad were to actually happen.
