Not quite turning it BLUE, but we didn't turn it BLEW
UNC is unranked this year in bball. It saddens me after our national championship but, when you lose all your starters, that basically kills you.
I was anticipating that last night would be a blow out versus Illinois -- they are ranked and they had to have had vengeance on their mind. I am pleased to say that, while it was a loss for my boys, it wasn't a complete runaway and I was forced to stay awake well past 11pm just to see the game through to the end. I think if we had a bench at all (which we don't because even our starters are untested) we could have won. I still love Roy.
I am disappointed, however, to report that Bevan seems to be a bit of a bandwagoner. All last year it was "WE won last night" and "when WE won the championship" -- now it is "I can't watch THEM play tonight." UH HUH ... what would Ramses say???
I head to Boston tomorrow so I plan on freezing my ass off which, given the holiday weekend and the binge there, might not be such a bad thing.
