SOUBA!!!! (now lets see if I can remember it)

I would have posted earlier but I've been busy (my aunt's wedding).  So now I have two books to review Dead witch Walking and Throne of Jade.

Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison is a wonderful romp into a alternate version of our world.   In this world most of the human race has been wiped out by a virus in a tomato (and now the entire population is deathly afraid of them).  After the cure is found the beings now called Inderlanders (Vamps, weres, witches, etc.) make themselves known .  Fourty years later things haven't really changed much, except Rachel Morgan has decide to quit her job, even though she knows the danger of doing so.  The first book follows her, Ivy, and Jenks as they deal with the FIB (federal Inderlander Berau).
I enjoyed this book very much and it's got enough humor in it that it doesn't get to depressing.  The characters are great (even if Ivy's a bit creepy) and know that there is a difference between pixies and fairys (Jenks is so cool(he's my favorite character)).  So now I have to read the rest of the series.

And now for my next book.
Throne of Jade by Naomi Novik is the second book in the Temeraire series W00T!!!  In this book Laurence  and Temeraire journey to China (and I bemoan the fact my keyboard is being a pain),  I shant tell you any more.  Other then the fact that I highly enjoyed it and you get a wonderful shocker in the end (regarding relations).

Next up in the review list Dime store Magic if I ever get around to finishing it and Seven Tears into the Sea (most likely my next review)

Honorable mentions: Encyclopedia of the Undead: A Guide to those who Cannot Rest in Peace a great information book full of neat illustrations, Pirattitude!: So you wanna be a Pirate? Here's How! I haven't even finished reading it and I'm recommending it, and Batman The Ultimate Guide to the Dark Knight  a great find if your a Batman fan.

(And now my keyboard works perfectly fine!)

Now I should explain the Souba:  simply put it's Kadji's sword in FFVII: Advent Children and I always keep forgetting it's name so now I'll hopefully remember it.
