Camping was OK.  we had noisy neighbors and it was very hot!

But you don't care about that now do you?

Now on to the reviews:

I have three books to review today and first up is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.  Twilight is about young Isabella Swan who chooses to go live with her father so her mother can be with her new boyfriend.  Life here in Forks, WA is entirely different from her life in  Phoenix, AZ.  But here in Forks she meets the strange and alluring Edward Cullen who mystifies her to no end.  Twilight is beautifully written with great characters and a new twist on the vampire legends, (but I'll admit this isn't really hard to do, but Meyer did it wonderfully).  I loved this book and I cannot wait for the second book to come out.
Next is The Dragon DelaSangre by Alen F. Troop.  In Dragon we meet one Peter DelaSangre, a dragon who can become a man.  Read as he deals with the inherent differences between dragons and humans and comes to terms with his life.  Dragon was wonderful (come on how many books have you read in which dragons can take human form? Huh? Huh? (I've only read two(Pet Shop of Horrors and a Rurouni Kenshin fanfic)).  This book was a grand foray into new dragon fiction territory.
Last is Magic or Madness by Justine Larbalestier.  In Magic young Reason is forced to live with the very woman she hates, her grandmother, after her mother goes insane.  But when Reason's only choices are to learn magic or go mad she must come to terms with her so-called 'evil' grandmother.  The reason I read this: the second book in the trilogy sits on the new fiction shelf of the library and taunts me, so I gave in and read the first book and I wasn't disappointed.  Well written and a mixing of two cultures (American and Australian) Magic or Madness was simply great (I'd say it adds a new twist on the whole magic thing, but everything I seem to read does that very thing to said book's subject(does that sentence make any sense?))
