We stayed at Hotel Sautade , what a pretty hotel near the station and free port in the living room so happy. Lots if lovely details everywhere
You know you pick the right hotel when they are fairy doors and gardens in every corridors and that is just on our floor !! Even the plugs are decorated ❤️

Pretty Sintra
Sintra nationale palace, some splendid tiled rooms and ceilings. Especially loved the ones covered in swans and the cute mermaids. The blazons room was quite spectacular with blue tiled panels and domed ceiling of stags holding coats of arms . Very plain white outside but surreal with his two conical chimneys and mix of gothic and moorish architecture

Not quite how I imagined our first day in usually sunny Portugal, bucketing down, lots of dealing refuge in shops and churches ;) also tried their lovely cherry liqueur you drink in a chocolate cup
