Meet the parents pt.1 (taken from myspace)
Okay, so Sunday Dimitri and little d came over for dinner..We also invited Kris and Erica..They all came over to meet the parentsLOL:) I was a little nervous because I thought both sides would disown me...LOL:) Dimitri first..then my Dad and Stepmom...but My Stepmom was being a little civil, figuratively speakingLOL:) Anyway, they didn't all get up and run away so that's a GREAT thing:) So I made a few things for dinner..some Tilapia and Grouper with Saffron Cream sauce with bay scallops and shrimp in it, and salmon with a thai chili glaze, some green beans, jasmine rice, shrimp-stuffed mushrooms, large steamed shrimp..peel and eat..yum:) Thinking that Domonic wouldn't like seafood..he got some sauteed chicken and some mac and cheese:) Which I'm having the rest of the mac and cheese for dinner tonight..I made waaay too much LOL:) And for dessert I made some key lime tartletts..they were so cute:) I had raspberry, orange passionfruit and of course the key lime ones...we took turns whipping the cream and went at dessert:) I think it was all pretty fun and then after most of the food settled we went for a swim:) My dad really fell in love with Domonic I think and he was hinting at grandkids...ummmmmm later..I love kids so much but much much later...LOL:) So everyone brought wine and we had tastings of some sort..note to self I need more wine glasses:) Little d was the center of attention and I don't think he had a problem with it LOL:) He's such a little cutie:) I am going to miss him when he has to go back home:( Hopefully he'll be back soon:) I know Dimitri's going to be upset when he goes because he'll miss him so much:( They're so much alike..and inseperable:) Dad got some good pics that I'll put up as soon as I get them emailed to me there's at least one or two with Domonic in a chef's hat..so cute..and some of me with mine on..because little d wanted to put them on..so cute:) There's a lot of candid pics too and only a few posed and I still didn't get to see them while he was taking them because I was cooking LOL:) So I'm glad that everything turned out alright and I hope that Kris and Erica will come over again and have dinner with us:) My brother's coming this weekend and he's excited about meeting Dimitri and little Domonic:) ..so all that's left is my Mom, sis and stepdad..as far as immediate family..besides the G-parents:) Which will be no problem..I think my mom and sis already love Dimitri!! LOL:) only after talking on the phone and emails LOL:) He's wonderful and my family is getting the chance to see that too:)
