UPDATED;D
Accumulated quite a number of movies now so I guess it's time to lash it all out here ><
1. X-Men : First Class (17JUNE2011)
Really liked how the 'past' was told cos' I'm a Potterhead; have never been a fan of X-Men.
Actually watched the first X-Men show on television just a few days before watching the movie! (shocking I know..)
Thought the recruiting of mutants was cool; but I predicted that that 'butterfly' women was bad (i really did).
OHOH and the part where Havok practiced in the bomb shelter; he kept trying to hit his target; it was so cool!
Almost vomited when Mystique and and Beast nearly kissed, the romance was so superficial.
It was pretty amusing when Beast injected the serum and actually became Beast~
Love the ending when both countries thought they were seconds away from death; their captains kept giving honour speeches.
Magneto's powers are awesomely great too *secretly wishing for a super power*.
All in all, exciting, full of action packed scenes and seemingly amusing at others :)
2. Transformers : Dark Of The Moon (1JULY2011)
Not a fan of Megan Fox but the way the director and producer discredit her character from the show was simply childish.
She was not ready to be a sex symbol at the start to begin with so it's understandable when she acts like a bitch.
Really not trying to defend her but.. I just get where she's coming from (being judged).
Realized at the alienation-invasion part that a lot of the movie was based on COMMAND AND CONQUER! (one part war only)
YESH I LOVE THAT GAME! I'm not your usual type of girl and the influence comes from my brother so there you have it.
From the 'bombers'(commandos should be doing it though) to the shape and way that the mother ship came in.
Everything was really identical to CAC just that this time, there's no mammoth tanks(only the autobots to save the day).
But still great to see it come alive on the big screen, a win-win for me :D
Absolutely depressing to see Ironhide get ripped into two though..
And that mentally unstable 'SECTOR SE7EN' man who owns a ridiculous house for himself.
Another action packed movie with hilarious characters.. yups!
3. Something Borrowed
When I read the summary, I thought there will be scenes where females fight like cats and stuff but noooo...
It was flooded with romance and sex and romance and more sex.. and a friend that is really bossy.
AND another friend whom went beyond the bounds of acceptable behaviour and is basically a pushover =.=
The fiancé is hot, I cannot lie >< But only in the movie though..
The ending for da blondie was messed up; knew she wouldn't be with Dex but with that party animal?! Something wrong there I tell ya.
Nothing more I can say about this, just dull and unoriginal.
4. Quarantine 2 : Terminal
Apparently it's not showing in Singapore but I'm still going to talk about it (not interested? skip it).
Similar plot to the first one except it's about another side of the story, get what I mean? No?
The rat that infected the dog that infected everyone in the apartment was on the plane.
One co-pilot and passenger got affected and woopie-doo, many others got infected.
So the story followed the first one where everyone got infected except for one.
But the sole survivor who managed to escape eventually died because the country was infected.
No originality really, similar to 28 Days/Weeks Later. Easy to imagine right?
5. Womb
Will be coming out 11AUGUST2011 in Singapore so this will be a SPOILER ALERT ><
Basically about these two childhood love-birds where the women got pregnant with the clone of her dead beloved.
She raises the child to call her 'mother' and they form a sexual bond towards each other(even from an early age).
The ending was just.. scary to the thought because the child she brought up has sex with her and she finally carries his child.
It was fairly boring throughout cos' the scenes were dragged and the content was just disappointing.
Eerily twisted and disgusting if you think it through, guess I can't really say much about it either.
Those movies with dates = watched with a zillion peeps :)
Have already watched the final instalment of Harry Potter but I feel that deserves a post all to itself.
That's about it for this post!
