I'm back, maybe? I should really use this thing more often, I used to be so active here and now...
It's summer, so they're cutting hours at work. The last thing people seem to want to do is get their internet fixed when there's so much beautiful day outside to enjoy. I wish they'd send their beautiful days to us. The damn heat won't let up, and it's only July.
I had picked up a shift this morning at 6am. I still don't know why I agreed to work at 6am on a Saturday, and I'll never know why I was taken off the schedule. I wish I would have known that before I set my alarm for 4am. At least I took one call, so my whole 11 minute shift wasn't wasted.
Tenchuu got me into another strategy game,
Warlight. It's a Risk-type conquest game, but a lot more addicting, and browser-based (using Silverlight). It's in beta, but it's a fun game as is.
CrimsonZephyr and I have been playing
Urban Rivals for a while now. It's an exclusively web-based, French TCG (like
Alteil) with interesting card art and unique game mechanics. We were really into it several months ago, but became frustrated with the number of higher-level players with cards far better than ours completely destroying us. We both took a break, but recently have decided to pay the money (via SMS) for credits on the site with which we can purchase new cards, evening out our original deck inequalities.
Most of my friends have started playing
Kingdom of Loathing again. We have our own clan! The game is interesting on it's own, but is a lot more exciting when you're with an active group of players (who exist outside of the KoLverse).
I had planned on using these games to keep me occupied at work today, but now I just get to play at home. It all works out, I guess.
