It started as an idea or scheme Kristin came up with to try and get us to be sisters. It then turned into a summer romance that seemed too good to be true. In the end, it was.
Once school started, everything changed. With student teaching and everything else going on in his life, he became too self-involved for a relationship. School was always the number one priority just as it should be, but then everything else came before me.
I dealt with it for a while as I usually do--not wanting to be the instigator of any animosity.
It was finally too much, and things ended. Life goes on. I'm not on a timeline where I HAVE to be married by any certain point. Someday, Mr. Right will be around when I'm not looking. Or maybe I will be, but it doesn't have to be anytime soon.
