Yuletide Goat letter
Dear Yuletide Author --
Thank you in advance for signing up for one of my fandoms. A little bit about my likes -- I like humor a lot. Even in a serious story, a funny line can bring much needed levity. But if humor's not your forte, that's alright. I love seeing into the characters. And I love stories about people who love each other -- platonic or romantic. I adore schmoopy romance; however, I like men to be men, not little girls.
I'm happy with anything from Gen to NC-17, but when it comes to sex I'm really hit or miss with kink. I love things like pegging, felching (all things oral, really), double penetration, pretty much anything you might think of as "raunchy". However, I'm not generally a big fan of dom/sub, bondage, and anything dealing with pain in my fic -- mostly because I tend to find it annoying and not well done. Basically when it comes to kink, the emotion and motivation needs to be there to back up the smut. Sorry I sound so picky, I'm really not. But if I've made you nervous and you want to run an idea by someone, you can get in touch with turnonmyheels -- she knows what I like and she'll keep your secret.
Now onto my requests:
1. Juno -- Juno and Mark -- I would love to see an expansion of their relationship. It could just be goofing off together playing guitar and watching horror movies and stuff. Or if you wanted to go AU and have something more happen between them, I would be totally fine with that (really, really fine actually). It would also be cool to have them see each other some time in the future -- and that could be good, bad, awkward, indifferent, whatever.
2. Knockaround Guys -- Taylor and Matty -- Oh how I love Taylor. I'd love to see some backstory on him or on his friendship with Matty. Or if you wanted to slash the two of them before, during, or after the events of the movie, that would work as well.
3. To Live and Die in L.A. -- Rick Masters and Richard Chance -- I have a deep and abiding love for this movie back to my preteen days. *happy sigh* My first love in the movie was Masters. I can watch the first scene of him making money over and over and over again. You could write fic in which nothing happens but Masters making money and that would make my day. But over the years, I have also come to love Chance more and more and have become a bit obsessed with Chance's obsession with Masters. Something about that obsession would be awesome. I've also always been a little curious about Masters' sexuality and gender -- I would love to see him written as a transgender character if you feel comfortable with such a difficult subject.
4. Yentl -- any -- Oh, my love for this movie... Generally, I hate musicals. Seriously can't stand them. But I just love this movie. It's Yentl's cross-dressing, the living and passing as a boy, the mess of the love triangle, the marriage to a woman. I have always had an alternate ending in my head. After Yentl's reveal to Avigdor, they have sex and when they return home to Haddas they come up with a way to all live together. Yentl gets to continue publicly living as a man and studying. They're an awkwardly functioning threesome. That might be a lot to tackle though. :) I'd pretty much like anything in the future whether an alternate ending or an imagining of Yentl's life in the new world. Take it wherever you like. If you'd rather go with the past, a look at her studying with her father over the years would be lovely as well.
