I get to deliver eviction papers today. Aren't you jealous? *sigh* We've been "managing" three properties since our friends R&E moved back east in April. R&E own a condo and a house. No problems with either of the. But R used to manage a condo for his friend C and we took that over when R moved. The two guys living there have yet to pay the rent on

We get $100 month to do this. So, I can't really complain since the other two places have been completely work-free.

As to the store -- they know that I only open on Mondays normally. This week and next are special because we have two shows a year that the owners go to to do some special buying and stuff. That's next week, so to get people their time off and to train my neighbor on how to close for next week, we've had some shuffling. I didn't mind offering, because it shows my flexibility. But they don't want me doing it normally because my salary gets paid differently than everyone else (except the bookkeeper) and they have to balance their payroll hours. So special circumstances. They're too scared to ask me to do it more often anyway.

My neighbor is my other manager today (she closes) and she had to make up today's schedule for lunch breaks and the cleaning chores. She was nervous because she's never done it before. I told her if anyone gave her grief to send them to me. I'd tell them they could work through their lunch on the volunteer program or they could take the hour assigned. Fear me, I am cold. *g*

All I had to do was deliver papers. The sheriff will do the hard part (if that's required). And the owner is doing the hearing by phone, so I don't have to go to that or anything. It's simply, just annoying. We know one of the guys because he used to be the head cook at the bar. He's an idiot kid. Good cook, but idiot and annoying. But right after he moved in, he quit his job and then wasn't working, yadda yadda. Instead of talking to the owner of the condo though, he just never mailed his rent. And his poor roommate - who has actually been paying his share - is getting shafted.

I do think they're typically worse about things like this than women. But that could be a gross over generalization.

Was that Dr. David Sandstrom on Fringe the other night? If so, has he lost a TON of weight?

That was him. And boy was I having some crossover fantasies. He did seem a little thin, but I don't think any thinner than the final season of ReGenesis. I mostly thought he just looked really tired which made me wonder what he's been working on since ReGen finished. *goes to IMDB*
