So I went back to skip 220 to sort of catch up on LJ. I skimmed some stuff, read some stuff, and I have a bunch of open tabs to deal with.
The Outlaws
The outlaws are gone. We took them to Denver on Sunday night to a hotel near the airport for their Monday morning flight. The house is all mine again.
West Virginia
We leave this weekend for West Virginia. I think I'm going to kill myself with the stress of taking work, trying to work out of the camper, rafting, and sharing very close quarters with the hubby for two weeks. Knock on wood for me, please? But I get to see my beloved
brandil so that will rock mightily.
Knitting
I taught myself years ago. And I kinda sucked. Then I picked it up again and applied myself and I was better. Then I quit. And now I'm doing it again. I've got some partial projects -- a couple scarves I've finished off. And I went to the local yarn shop yesterday and bought myself a book of sweater patterns that are fairly easy (for sweaters). We shall see. I also finally got one of those "Denise Interchangeable Needles" kits because I tend to lose individual needles. This should help. I'd love suggestions on websites with cool patterns or sites to get good yarn at discounted prices (OMG, the nice stuff is so expensive I figure I might as well just buy machine made sweaters for crying out loud).
That's all for now. I need to make dinner. I just realized it's already 6 pm and the tenderloin I was going to bake is not going to work for me. I can't wait that long to eat. Hmm....
p.s. We've already had some snow in the mountains. Whee! Winter is coming!!
