Wow what a Christmas!
What a wonderful Christmas it's been so far already! I woke up next to the hubby and surrounded by fluffy, warm dogs. We had a Lovely waking up time with Chris' new 3 cup coffee press (thanks Freecycle!) and started exchanging gifts in earnest.
We were (vaugely) frugal in our buying, though it looks like our parents were not. From his parents he got a new leather jacket, several pairs of pants and NEW CURTAINS for the living room! YA! Hopefully this will reduce the barking of the dogs at people outside. He also got a doggie picture calendar from the puppies, and a gift card for build-a-bear. He is debating whether he will get an outfit/shoes for the bad-bear, or if he'll get another little stuffie. He also got GUITAR HERO from me last night as his Christmas Eve present. We've been playing that tonight and this morning.
I got an AWESOME pizza cutter from his parents, along with a pattern and flosses to complete it, a tool kit, needle minder and canvas pegs to track my counting, and also see through stitchy rulers.
The patterns I got were (from left to right):
Cirque des Triangles (with the green GAST flosses I selected)
Cross for Anne
Peregrination (with the Carrie's Creation threadpack for the project)
Sampler Cove's Rhapsody in Red part four (pattern, etc. for a chatelaine) with the silk and Krenik flosses and a project envelope
Forest Goddess
In the picture you can also see the tool case (with my scissors in them already), the needle minder on the left of the case, and the canvas pegs below.
Together we got 8 egyptian coton towels, and 3 complete sets of queen 600ct sheets with 4 sets of pillow cases from my mom and step-dad, and my dad and step-mom! As well as a "pet-i-cure" thing for doing the dog's nails.
Wheew! I surely did not expect such largesse and wonderful gifts. Again, I'm really just so happy to have everyone in my family be reasonably health at the moment. I am going to enjoy all these wonderful gifts for years to come. :-)
