Monday Night Raw

That's what's going on behind me...Randy Orton, yum.

Ok - so.
Bummer day, was planning on going to the meeting and since we were doing photos for the portfolio I was going to dress up as Anna Nicole, so I didn't wash my hair yesterday, figured it was going up in a wig anyway. And then they cancelled.
I could have gone and run some errands today.
But instead, because it needed it, I washed my hair and didn't go anywhere.
Now I get to do stuff tomorrow.
Have to get my dad's birthday present and take my mom shopping.

They put the new roof on my folk's house today. Excitement.

What else? Nothing else.

I'm anxious to get the damn W2 from TSA so I can do the damn taxes. I always get excited about doing them. Weird,I know.

Now's where I should be writing something poetic.
I have no distractions. Good focus.
Maybe I'll do better when the weather takes a turn this weekend. And oh, I hope it does.
Supposed to be like 50.

I want stuff.
I've been daydreaming and catalog wishing, I want more animals.
I want a bird and another snake and a puppy. I want a Bernese Mountain Dog most of all. Nobody breeds them here, it's really too warm, but it would be mostly an inside dog. I can't afford to buy a purebred.
And an Irish Wolfhound, they require SO much.
I want a blue and gold macaw. I'd settle for an African Grey.
I want a Burmese python. Always, always wanted one.
The thing is, they live for many years and I can't picture myself when I'm 75 trying to lift a 15 foot, 75lb snake.
Tomorrow night Austin Stevens will be showing his search for the Anaconda, my favorite snake in the world.
To think, I could have owned one. When I went to the expo in Columbia with whacko-pants...they had every reptile practically under the sun...including baby green Anacondas.................for $39!!! Yes, that's not a misprint, $39.00.
What the F* would I DO with it?! I don't exactly have a lake in my backyard. There's a lake around the corner but I don't think my neighbors would approve of me letting it loose in there.
I can't wait to watch it, I've already seen it...it's the most beautiful portrayal of an Anaconda I've ever seen...everyone sees them as maneaters, which is a MYTH! and here Austin Stevens shows how non-aggressive they are. he holds her, doesn't restrain her head, she crawls all over him and it put a lump in my throat. I - got - emotional.
I adore these animals.
Not many people understand that.
Sure, Mr. Stevens, Steve Irwin, Jeff Corwin, they understand...but the average person doesn't see what I see. The beautiful colors, their grace, the fascinating way they move and have such forward body strength, holding 1/3 of their body off the ground. I love snakes. Period.
I love all animals...all of them...even the ugly ones.
But reptiles...snakes...are my passion.
I keep trying to convince husband to turn our back porch into a reptarium. Close it in, build some enclosures, and I'll rescue them from ignorant pet owners. Considering the people here, I could start a zoo!!!
That's my dream when we get to Alaska, start a reptile program at the Anchorage Zoo. It'll take money...lots.
Oh well.

Guess that's my ranting for tonight.
