Dream figure

I spun around and around, turning and twisting in wild, psychotic frenzy. I was drunk and mad- driven to the point of absolute insanity. I was unable to control my flailing arms that danced before my eyes around my body in fading waves.

I spun around and around until I fell to the ground. I fell underneath a brilliant, beautiful, enormous tree. The tree made a canopy over and around my body and shaded me with its comforting green arms. The dirt upon which I laid mixed in with my hair and made patterns on my pale cheek.

I could not move. I pressed my face, and more importantly, my ear, to the earth. I felt closer to you than I had ever felt before.

I looked up to see your figure staring, with wonder and concern, down at me. Your eyes glittered at me in the sunlight and your smile warmed every part of my body. I had been lost until you showed up. You came back and you pulled me back to life. You came back and I returned. I was back again.

So maybe if I had you back, just knowing you were back, I could begin to live again. I could be revived.

But what happens if you never come back? Because I know you won't; you can't.

Will these dreams be enough... to save me?
