I'm tired of reading lies in the news. Propaganda, etc. I see this all the time in Internet "security" reports and so forth, so naturally I extrapolate this to other areas and simply don't trust anything I read.
What I'm suggesting is that I (and anyone else who's interested) create a website for news critiques.
What I mean by this is links to other people's news with corrections and commentary. Not just slagging people off, either. For real. I'd allow anyone to submit a suggestion, and certain people, on a very exclusive basis, to submit actual articles if they were on my "reporters" list.
I'd probably want it to end up looking more like google news than the reg and I'd want to keep all the articles, make it searchable and as professional as possible. A bit like snopes but for debunking world affairs articles - primarily technological at first - that could affect any of us, and kept as up-to-date as possible.
What does anyone think of this? Has it already been done? I can't find anything quite like what I have in mind. Would people be interested?
One thing I wouldn't want it for it to degenerate into a bush lies mess.
