Writer's Block: Confidential

Oct 26, 2008 16:28

I have a nosy sister, and a double-nosy mom.

To keep privacy at home, I would usually bury personal stuff (money, eyeliner, wristwatch, bangles, fugly self-portraits, cute pens, USB cables, love letters, pets, eyeliner, etc.) deeep in my closet. There's always room under those pile of clothes since my blouses and jeans are hanging from that metal bar up there. Why not put it to use?

When it comes to privacy online, I am also pretty careful. I don't share any of my precious personal personal info to any stranger out here. I don't give away my contact number, address, and surname. Sometimes, I would even lock [online] photo albums that contain too much of my face and let only selected non-anonymous users view them.

Since my PC is currently acting like a retard, I use my father's PC to access the internet. What I'm using now is not mine, so I consult our divine Internet History Eraser to keep my roaming-around data private.

When it comes to social networking sites, I keep my profile private (check out my Multiply/Friendster). I block friend requests from anonymous users. I actually enjoy blocking friend requests. Devious much?

As of now, I'm not a silly paranoid worrying about privacy. I mean, people won't usually care. Don't worry about it too much, but don't expose too much of yourself, too.

privacy, online security, writer's block
