Celebrating myself and other random stuff that happened today
*Best deed of today: I finished working through The Picture of Dorian Gray! Not that I have produced much coherent text myself, but I have it all organised in my head now and won't have to look anything up in the novel any more. Will write one subchapter before going to bed today. *nods fervently* Wrote one subchapter. Will have to write the two others tomorrow, then start on The Importance of Being Earnest. I so don't have enough space for all this...
It struck me again, after reading through it once more, that this is am absolutely amazing book. I wish I would've read it earlier in my life, but maybe I wouldn't have seen all the greatness then. I'm close to building an Oscar Wilde altar close to my desk, honestly.
*Funny thing of today: the Little One went outside to call the cat in for lunch and found a note "tabby found, neighbour x" on the door. I'm quite impressed that my cat actually dared to venture in some stranger's flat, she's usually very, very shy. But maybe the fact that these neighbours have a male tabby (they look like twins) was reason enough ^^
*Happy-maker of the day: went to the post office to get the skirt I bought at ebay. It's a wonderful, long, black one with lace trimmings that flows around me beautifully when I move. No velvet, though it looked like that on the pictures, but some smooth material. I know now what to wear next time I go out :)
*Annoying realisation of today: no more wheat for me until I handed in that paper. My poor stomach isn't fond of academic stress. Luckily enough, I have enough recipes for wheat-free cooking and, very important and freshly-baked, cookies *goes to the kitchen to have some*
