During the last weeks, my flatmate and I had decided that we need to get rid of our cat, she was just too unhappy in our flat. But no one wanted to have her. We could've brought her back to the animal shelter if we didn't care for her so much. So we kept her cooped up in the flat, watching her from getting irritated to downright insane. Which is why we decided to dare a little experiment.
We let her go outside in the backyard. After checking if the rat traps are too small for her to reach the poison and hoping she wouldn't go too close to the street. It worked. She's been outside twice today, and she came back by herself, we didn't even have to call her. And now she's exhausted and sleeping, and I can return to working on my term paper.
It is to be hoped that she'll be much less bitchy now she gets enough exercise chasing the birds. She's purring already, wanting nothing more than to be scratched behind the ears. This means we can keep the cutie. *is happy*
