I just got a picture of my little niece and a friend of hers wearing Harry Potter glasses.  The next generation rocks on.  She and my nephew got Owl Post postcards from Hogsmeade and they were so happy that my nephew wore his robe all day with the hood pulled up.  My sister snapped a picture of him that she called "Death Eats Breakfast."  It would ( Read more... )

I am really sad that this is the last HPEF convention, but I figured I would go for broke and do everything.  Like read fanfic.  And be in the fashion show.  And stuff and things.

Usually, I work my ass off getting ready for these.  It has to be academic, because that's really what I'm supposed to be there for, so the costumes have to be last minute.  This year the paper felt thrown together, too, but I still think it was pretty good.

Separated from everything, including my sox, and I'm not getting home until tomorrow afternoon, if I'm lucky. It takes a lot to harsh a Potterbuzz. I'm basically fine with this, as long as the catsitter comes in and my Cambridge robes don't go missing and Pony!Remus doesn't get broken.

The Wolf Talk got done at 6 pm.  I've got everything packed.  I might go back and take some stuff out.  I packed a lot more T shirts, socks and underwear than I really needed, but last time my clothes got drenched every time I went to the park, so I doubled up.  I probably also could lighten up on the toiletries, makeup, etc.  (Do I really need ( Read more... )

Writing this paper hurts.  I put it off as long as possible because I knew it would.  I feel unprepared for this conference. I should have been working on this long ago. It's crushing to have so much to say and so little time to convey it in ( Read more... )
