What does Karma mean to me?
Karma? I guess it means to me what it means to everyone. You get what you give. If you're a jerk, you get jerkiness done back to you. If you're nice, you get good things come back to you. That sort of thing.
Problem is, it seems to be broken. People who haven't done anything end up getting all sorts of stupid crap happening to them. People who are mean spirited and petty end up reaping all sorts of rewards.
But maybe it means in past lives. That you're crappy in one life, and you get paid back in the next, regardless of whether you're crappy in that one or not. I don't believe in past lives, though, so if it means that, it pretty much means nothing, to me.
So the only meaning it can have, to me, is in this life. And it obviously doesn't work, given how unbalanced a lot of people's lives are in the 'getting what you deserve' department.
I guess it doesn't mean to me what it means to most people, then. I guess that leaves it pretty obvious that Karma means basically nothing to me.
