I vow to make this journal less of a place to whine and more of a positive place.
That said, we're currently arguing which song to dance to.
crouchback wnats that Elvis song "I can't help falling in love with you". I'm leaning more towards Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply". It's our current major debate right now.
We are going with music that I can remember, for the most part.
The flowers are all fixed. Mine are red, something called a freedom rose, simply done. The bridesmaids/matrons have ambience roses (their dresses are deep red) and those roses have yellow bases and red tips to them. Groomsmen the same as bridesmaids.
crouchback has some sort of purple flowers since those are his favorite. fathers and grandfathers have red, mothers, to be decided. We have a chuppah that we're renting to get married under, maybe some vases of flowers along side that, not sure. WE are goin to put some fabric (lacy stuff) on top of the chuppah, and the florist will decorate the front of it.
Though, cruiser, is there a specific flower you want on your choker whites? Anything is the limit. NOt sure how red and yellow would look, and I'd honestly want something special for you.
The shower made me feel super special. I got some kitchen gadgets, but for the most part i got expensive stuff. So unexpected. I got place settings of the bone china I want, *8* of them, at 55 bucks a pop. Wow. I had put that down as a "nice to have but don't totally expect to get it. I had really wanted the knives I picked or some of the pots, but I will have to pay for them myself. I mean, I *really* wanted the knives. Oh well. I'm not disappointed at the least.
I got a fantastic fun gift from one of my bridesmaids, and that was an iguana windchime, something I had been looking for for YEARS. My brother gave
crouchback a tool set he had been wanting that I put on the wish list. It would have been nice to get more stuff for him, though I did get a bunch of wine stuff (vacuvin, fancy corkscrew set) that was specifically for him, so hopefully he didn't feel too left out.
What I really need are people to stand up during the wedding and say something. I don't know who to approach about that. One of
crouchback's friend is saying something and he's hysterical. I don't have anyone like that for me, alas. I suspect it's because of my hearing, I hang back and don't get involved with conversations so the nifty people just don't meet me. *sigh*. I suspect no one will get up and have a bit of a talk about me and
crouchback with me being the focus. Oh well.
that's it for now. Not that that many people read my previously massively depressive LJ.
