No tooth left behind!
So I guess that wasn’t the mantra of the dentist who over 10 years ago removed my wisdom teeth. Apparently he left behind a chunk of tooth. Said fragment lived happily in my gum for 10 years, then I guess it missed getting attention and decided to become abscessed. LOVELY! So now I have to go to an oral surgeon to remove my little tooth friend.
Its not that big of a deal since the abscess burst last week, and how my gum looks and feels healthy. If the dentist didn’t get an x-ray we would have never known, since he was sure it was a piece of food which got lodged between my molar and gum. I’m sure it will be no fun to have it removed though….
