I'm glad I watched it (not knowing what it was about).
I've been a long time 'rememberer of the Holocaust since my teens (way back in the late 60's - 70's) when I first watched the 5 part mini-series "holocaust". Ever see it? Really put it all together so well for me after my earlier reading of the Diary of Anne Frank.

The "Holocaust" mini-series was an early part for Meryl Streep, who portrayed a Partison in the film. It had a great cast and really made an impact on me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust_(miniseries)
Have you been to the Holocaust Museum in DC?? Quite an experience.
Yes i've been to the one in DC and the original Shoah musium in Israel. The one in Israel is so 'real' and uncensored that you have to be at least 18 years old to get in. I plan on taking a friend of mine who wants to go to the one in DC this year. Its defaintely a very hard thing. Especially considering that my family members names are etched in the glass walk ways thoughout the museum.
Did you loose direct family members, cousins? WOW! Were they in Germany?
Forgive all the questions . . . I have a special interest in the Holocaust and some past life experiences I think.
For a time about the age of 34 i was unemployed and presented myself at the Simon Weisenthal Center in West Los Angeles stating I wanted to volunteer there. Since there was a gaurd at the reception area they sent out the Librarian to speak with me in the Library. She accepted me as a volunteer and I got to work in the Library, which was staffed with about 10 orthodox jewish women ~ all really neat people. It was quite an experience! I was back at a real job in about 3 mos so it was brief, but I'll never forget!!
