No for the faint of heart, but for those who need to know, need to remember and insure "NEVER AGAIN"

Norayn,
No problem, i dont mind questions at all. I love that others are still interested in this part of history.
My grandmother (mothers mother) and great grandmother (her mother’s mother) were the sole survivors (in our family) of Buchenwald. The entire family was turned into the Nazi's by the French resistance to the Nazi party (not very resistant if you ask me). Anyway, my mother was born shortly after her mother escaped the camp. My mother's mother denounced Judaism and converted to Christianity. Her mother, my great grandmother raised my mom. She was sent to another area of the camp and was used for human experiments. So I have grown up with these stories, which the knowledge that all but 2 of my mother’s family were lost to the Shoah. My mom, when turning 15 left France (where she grew up) to travel to Israel where she joined the military and years later met my dad. All of this, explains why its so hard for my mom that i'm no longer a Jew in religion. But like I've said, i will always be a Jew by herritage and culture.

While they were shipped to Germany, i dont believe anyone from my family is actually from there.

Wow ~ what a story. Have you recorded it for the family history?

I'll send you one of my little tools for recording family history if you send you regular email address so I can attach it. (Only if you want it of course!)
