today: woke up at laurens after a particularly exhausting day before. moving furniture around and all that. Then accompanied Elena and Lauren to UCLA for grad stuff. Very pretty day. pretty enough to go to the botanical gardens on campus. Snapped away with my rarely used camera while i was there. Took some halfway decent attempts at photography. Also realized while i was on campus that i NEEED a JOB. Like, NOW. i am running low, and i'd rather not use all my savings bonds. Like my aunt predicts. I'd rather not give her that satisfaction.
After, came home. Expecting to miss the party for my tio Chuy, BUT as usual, there was some miscommunication between my mother and grandma, and the party began at 6pm rather than 2. blablabla...wasting time watchin tv......got to the party, and i didnt anticipate how far they would take the hawaiian theme. They went ALL out. very decorated. lotsa food too. Had actual hula girls there as well. made the birthday boy and wife (who was also celebrating her b-day) come up and dance a couple times. oh, oh, aaannnnd. they had a guy twirl around a fire baton or whatever. that was AWESOMESAUCE. didnt see that one coming.
they also had an open bar too. didnt try to order anything tho... was proclamed the designated driver while my mom decided to indulge. but to balance i guess, my cuz got a margarita and i helped her finish. barely gave me a buzz. like, it lasted for two min. (or at least thats how it felt). yaaaahhh. now browsing teh internetz and watchin M*A*S*H at the same time. will probably go to bed once my dad gets off my bed >.
