whoa. got As in all 3 of the graduate seminars that I sat in on this semester- that makes it 5 for 5 as far as 5000-6000 level classes go. With any luck this will help convince admissions committees to forgive my numerous, numerous past indiscretions

I apologize for not being terribly responsive over the past few months. This was partly due to a concerted academic effort-the fruits of which are mentioned above-making me somewhat anti-social. The other part is due to the fact that in general I'm somewhat of a lousy friend, especially over distances.
wow, that's the worst excuse I've ever made. Perhaps I should have just framed it as a sort of shameful acknowledgment.
No disrespect was intended either way, although I fear that I delivered it. If you've taken offense and wish to discuss it, may I suggest that we converse via email or the phone (my number is still the same) - or if not, feel free to kick my ass in person when you come up here to visit. Feel free to give me a call even if I've overestimated my sins- it's kind of boring in tallahassee now that pretty much EVERYBODY is gone and I'd like to hear a familiar voice.
yes, I am aware of the stunning hypocrisy of the previous statement, but I do mean it genuinely.
