Merdekabouts

31 August 2004. Malaysia's 47th National Day (Merdeka). Passed by in a blink of an eye. Celebrated the Merdeka eve at a friend's condominium in Brickfields. A big party with free flowing booze of many kinds in the company of guests whom one of the hosts described as "bimbos, porn stars, cute nerds, intellectual studs, subversive elements, ISA detainee wannabes, interpretive dancers, revisionist shakespeareans, keyboard fetishists, charity sex workers, wanita keras, lelaki-lembut-inspiring smart chicks and lots of pretty pretty boys you can call friends". The party was SWELL!

I mean, it's the biggest, yet the warmest party I've ever been to that was held within a residence like that. I will not describe more as I'm gonna hit the sack in a bit from now. But all in all, I made some nice friends. Oh yes, the host said I could bring guests. And so I brought Gordon and Teo along. We had a great time that we only left the place after 5 in the morning. Some serious discussions, music appreciation sessions, "Whose Line Is It Anyway" sketches were being observed during the whole party that we gotten ourselves amused too much that we didn't want to go home.

Anyway, the reason I wrote this was because of a single purchase I made while refuelling my car at the SHELL station in my area near Gasing. They are 2 bottles, of Eau Claire mineral water that are commisioned by Select SHELL for sale in conjunction with Malaysia's 47th National Day celebration. Came in a glass bottle, fashioned in black and red. National Day, Limited Edition bottles. I heard they were sold out at most other stations so I decided to buy 2 of them sold at 1 ringgit each.
