Louder, louder, and we'll run for our lives.
Despite the snow on the ground, the day was surprisingly warm, especially for winter. Even so the park was close to deserted, most people staying indoors. Makoto had no such aversion to the winter day, and could be found jogging along the walking trail that led around the lake, sneakers crunching over twigs and dirt, ponytail bouncing with every step. The cold was a shock with each breath she took, but at the same time it was invigorating, distracting the tall brunette from thoughts of the trouble she'd been dragged into. Hip deep in a furious battle against forces that she'd only thought were ghost stories before, risking her life with the other four girls that she fought alongside, girls that she'd only met this year.
But she still felt a fierce loyalty to them, a desire to protect them from harm. It was in her nature to want to shield others, to act the guardian, but the intensity of the urge with the other senshi still startled her at times. Thusly, it wasn't a new concept to her... but the idea that she would so willingly lay her life on the line for them was, and it definitely had her taking a good long look at herself in the mirror each morning.
Shaking her head to dispel the thoughts, she leaned into her steps slightly and quickened the pace as though she might be able to outrun such uncertain thoughts.
