Hope For A Happy Ending
Even in wintry Hokkaido, it's hot today. But it's a pleasant heat, a warmth that people can relax in with a cold drink, after a long day's work. The new Hokkaido palace, home to the youngest shitennou Jadeite, seems to almost glow in the last few sleepy rays of sun. The whole Earth, which was only recently covered in a sickly darkness, is renewed and beautiful again.
He had to make up for his mistakes that he had made.
Since that time, Jadeite hadn't emerged from the palace. The East had become more beautiful. Buildings were going back up quickly, communities were coming back together. Maybe it was finally that happy ending this world had worked so hard to ensure.
Jadeite was in a good mood this evening. He sits in a room that seems to be the entertaining area of someone's (presumably his) private chambers. It's airy, the warm breeze coming through open doors that lead out onto a balcony. Audible not too far off in the distance, a waterfall.
Things are finally getting where he wants them, and it's taken constant vigilence over the people of his part of the kingdom. Maybe in some small way, this makes up for his mistakes before. Maybe he should even visit everyone soon.
