Holidays of any kind brought in a little extra income, but Christmas especially was known for it. Kino Makoto finds herself drawn right to the flowers. She ogles a particularly healthy and vibrant poinsettia from enough distance to pretend she's not, and has to stop herself from asking their price. Flowers don't really go with her image, right? Even that type of one. They sure are pretty, though.

Tellu may have been enjoying her tea, but that didn't mean she hadn't seen the girl approach, even at a distance. The attempt to look disinterested was one she'd seen before, though normally on the faces of men as their girlfriend or wife made her way over to look at the flowers.

"They're much prettier up close," she said, glancing up after a sip.

Shit. Spotted! Makoto comes closer (it'd be ruder not to now0 and gives a somewhat embarrassed smile and makes a polite bow to Tellu.

"Sorry about that," she apologizes. "They look very healthy."

Such a polite girl she was, too. Tellu responded to the bow with a nod, then went back to nursing her cup of tea to warm her hands. At least there was no snow about, not yet anyway.

"Sorry about what?" She mused, finally standing up to move closer to the cart. "That's because I take very good care of them. Do you care for any plants?"
