The prince is getting serious. Depending on perspective, this is either admirable or so unusual as to be scary. He sits on the edge of his bed, lost in thought for some time

"Owwww ... Didja get the number of the car that hit me?"
Usagi groans as she cradles her aching head in her hands, positive she can see stars. The culprit - an ornamental vase - lies next to her on the floor. Fortunately it didn't break in the tremor, but Usagi's going to have a nasty headache for a few hours.
... There's no way he'll convince anyone she's blameless, or that he didn't know she was here. And even in the heart of the palace, only a precious few know about different worlds and alternates.
This is bad.
"Princess!!"
Firm arms come to wrap themselves around Usagi as if he's just helping a victim, but he'll bring her somewhere secluded where no one will see her if he can.
Usagi's far too out of it to realise a) who's helping her, or b) just what kind of danger she could be in, but either way, she's grateful to her rescuer. "Thanks," she manages to get out, shaking her head to try and clear the dizziness.
The room he gets her to has a divan, a few padded chairs, and a bed that dominates a large part of it. He lays Usagi on the bed, but withdraws after that. When her head starts to clear, she'll find him over by the windows, looking out.
The dizziness finally clears, and Usagi groans as the blur disappears from her eyes, leaving her to see clearly again. She looks around at the bedroom in confusion, but her heart jumps into her throat when she sees Endymion standing by the window. "Endymion?" she says, sitting up. "What happened? How the hell did I get here? Oh, wait, don't answer that second question."
"Geez, that head of yours can even take a hit like that." He doesn't sound like it's a good thing; more like he's calling her dense. He probably is.
"It's the nexus, it must be," he agrees. "The princess is on the moon right now." Where she should be, her senshi and his shitennou would say. He becomes more serious as he makes his last answer, taking her questions out of order: "There was a small earthquake."
Usagi sighs and sits up properly, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. "I don't believe it," she says firmly. "Surely there has to be a way to stop the princess from losing control, right?"
"The alternate in the nexus destroyed a forest," he says grimly, far more serious than he's used to needing to be. "And now this earthquake will be blamed on our relationship. She and I may really be unable to meet."
"Oh crap," Usagi groans. "I get it. And seeing me here isn't probably the best thing for you right now. Sorry. If you can help me find a door out of here, I'll slip out and no one will see me, hopefully."
Is she stupid? If she goes out that door, he can't guarantee her safety if the wrong eyes see her. Here, at least, if that happens... he can protect her.
"Don't go," he tells her. "It's alright to stay here until you're feeling better. No one will come. This wing is usually unused."
Usagi nods and sighs, sitting back against the pillows. "How long do you think I'll be here?" she asks worriedly. "I don't want to cause you any more trouble."
"What do you mean?" he asks rhetorically. "I don't have any way to know that." If he did, the nexus wouldn't be so intrusive. Man, and he'd have thought the princess would want to see each other, too.
"That's the best we can do for now," Endymion agrees. She sure seems eager to get away. Maybe he can't blame her. And that thought leads right back to 'maybe it is impossible'. Argh!
"Listen, since you're here, we should try to get along well, shouldn't we?"

Maybe they are.
"They say catastrophes will happen because of my relationship with the princess. Do you believe it?"
