The prince is getting serious. Depending on perspective, this is either admirable or so unusual as to be scary. He sits on the edge of his bed, lost in thought for some time

She's really not steady. He should get her somewhere safer; the middle of the hallway might still be dangerous if there are any aftershocks.
"Come this way." He reaches to steady her with a firm grip on her arm. "It should be over now but you need to rest if you're dizzy." Or so he assumes from those wavering legs.
He lets her hold onto him, lest she fall; he can hardly let a lady be harmed in his care. Endymion leads Loof Merrow down a corridor to an unused but furnished room; she can rest in the large armchair or lay down for awhile.
"It seems to be over," he tells her. "It should be safe anywhere in here now."
This is where he jumps up, screams something about 'I don't believe that!!' and threatens her with his displeasure.
Only he doesn't. He frowns and sits on the edge of bed, as Loof has taken the chair. He slumps a little, more from bad posture than defeat but there's a certain pique to it that suggests he's not happy.
"But I still don't see how being with her, or leaving her, would change that."
That only makes him continue talking to himself. Maybe he just wants to hear it all out loud.
"I want to protect her," he says finally. "I can't let her be hurt when none of this is her fault." It's not as if she created this earthquake.
"But I might not be able to be with her, either," he says. Frankly, 'the good and the bad' does not extend as far as embracing the twisted person who could ruin his planet. He wants to help her hold it back.
"But if I'm near her, that should help her, shouldn't it?" Yeah, he's still trying to make sense of all this.
He... honestly hadn't thought of it that way, and somewhere his men have a strange urge to let out groans of frustration. Endymion frowns a bit, glancing downward and to the side before his head lifts with his answer.
"If we were to be allowed to marry, our kingdoms would also combine. It'd be peace and Earth and the Moon would become one kingdom together. I wouldn't leave."
Right. Because those duties wouldn't require him to split his time at the very least.
He's their prince. And yet he's never thought about the ramifications of his marriage, if it were to the moon princess. Oh, he knows political marriages; the paying of dowries, the joining of territories. But on this scale?
"There's no peaceful way to combine the two kingdoms. Is that what you think?"

"Hey- hey! Are you alright?" He hurries towards her, recognizing her only once he gets a bit closer. "Loof Merrow??"

But with this Loof Merrow, he can be a little more open. She won't condemn, and she understands his concerns.
"Is this the sort of tragedy they mean when they talk about relationships between Earth and the Moon?"
