"Come on, Charmeleon! Use your Flamethrower to finish off it off!" Rei grinned to herself as the little dragon obeyed, and the opposing Bellsprout was toast! That would teach them to use grass types against her! Her Charmeleon turned to face her with what almost looked like a smirk if it was possible, and she crouched down, opening her arms. Within moments, he was running over, and she hugged him tight and crowed. "We did it!"
"Char char!"
"Yup! See Usagi, I told you it was a piece of cake. Don't you know by now that grass is weak to fire," the fire trainer said with a laugh. When there was no answer, Rei blinked and let go of her Pokemon. "Usagi? Ami?"
"Charmeleon!"
He was right. Usagi and Ami were nowhere to be found when Rei turned around, and neither was her opponent. The field they'd been battling in was completely empty.
