I owe Joanne 10 random things about myself. The rules: Once you have been tagged, you are to write a blog containing 10 weird or random things about you. At the end of the blog, you are then to choose 10 other people to "tag."
1 - I have only been to the ocean on two trips in my life; the first time I've swum in the ocean was 11 days ago (on my birthday!).
2 - I am currently more tan than I ever thought I could be. Seriously. I am not a skin-type that tans. When Tom pointed my tan out to me, my response was "Are you sure the freckles haven't just merged together?"
3 - I threw away the only really comfortable pair of flip-flops I've ever owned rather than pack them and bring them back from Maui. They were stained from the sand and generally looking pretty cruddy. They were mis-matched anyway - I bought two pairs b/c I was impressed that I found them comfortable (I hate flip-flops) and Athena used one from each pair as a chew toy when she was teething.
4 - I have one crooked tooth in the bottom front that I chose to keep crooked. I scandalized my orthodontist by telling him that I was going to quit wearing my retainer and I didn't care if it went more crooked. I never wore my braces to have "a beautiful smile" (a disgustingly common phrase at my ortho. office), I wore them to keep from having intense pain later in my life. I already had a beautiful smile. Stupid heads. Still a little pent up frustration there.
5 - My first real kiss didn't happen until I was a freshman in college.
6 - I just got new glasses. None of you know what I look like anymore! heehee. I am also going to be trying contacts again after over 7 years.
7 - I have dyed my hair less than 10 times in my life.
8 - I like dandelions. It makes me sad when I see people pulling them out of their yards. I want to cry, 'What is so bad about dandelions? Why do they offend you so?'
9 - I am named after one of the most awesome ladies ever.
10 - I would give more money to animal-helping organizations if they didn't waste so much money sending me stupid mailers and "free gifts" in the mail. It makes me wonder just how much of my donation is really going to help animals.
