Wow, I am officially completely tired of Los Angeles. I've had my fill. Sunny days are like chocolate... too much and the very idea makes you a little queasy.
That doesn't mean I don't lie in the warm sunny spot on the floor where the sun come through the windows on occasion.
If Monterey is the place where one goes to understand crooked trees and the Sahara is where one goes to understand the sand, LA is where one goes to understand the futility of shallowness. (Not that I am pointing fingers. It is not the doing of individuals as much as it is the doing of a group mindset).
And I don't know about all you other actors, but if I hear one more casting where they want real firefighters/masseuses/doctors/CSI techs/stenographers/roller derby girl/strippers (all true... no exaggerations) I am going to flip out. I went to school for acting. Since when do background actors need to have training and experience in every other job field in order to be cast? And where are all these firefighters and doctors who are free during the week and want to spend their spare time making $8/hr.
I need to start looking for a job. This Hollywood crap is driving me insane.
Here's what I have to search through all day trying to find work:
-I am looking for REAL Current and former USC Students who are OUTGOING & have a BIG personality
-Must be a personal Trainer, experience or knowledge of physical therapy machines.
-ADAM SANDLER MOVIE-SMOKING HOT EXTRAS
-COMEDY CENTRAL-AFTRA-18-24YR OLD BALLERINAS AND BRATENDERS
-GLEE-EXCELLENT @ THE POTTERS WHEEL NERDY EXTRAS
only multiply that by at least 2 hours a day worth of reading or listening to such postings. Being that I am not a USC student, a personal trainer, smoking hot, a ballerina, a bartender, or excellent at the potter's wheel (or charactery enough to be considered for nerdy roles, for that matter) I guess I am out of luck for work tomorrow. I'm just a measly little actor who trained for half of my life as an actor, but I guess I'm not qualified for being a blur in the background.
::Bitter::
Anyway, some (far less bitter) words of wisdom:

"The important thing is this: to be ready at any moment to sacrifice what you are for what you could become." -Charles Dubois
"All our journeys are sacred, and all our lives an adventure." Dan Millman "Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior"
