Seriously, I leave fandom for a little while for law school, and next thing I know apparently Jag is the Emperor (actually, I had to check like five different sources before I half-believed this) and Jaina is married to him. Jaina is married to Emperor Fel. I mean, is she seriously the Empress, or is this one of those things where he's abdicated,

Agggh, adulthood, who thought of that, right? I am trying to maintain that still in school (and for another year) = not an adult, but I have to start looking for a Real Career Job next year, so I'm running out of time on that one.

Yes...NJO and everything pretty much just massacred everything and all h:earts. Oh no, I hadn't heard they were officially blank slating the EU :\ I wonder if they're really going to ignore all the characters entirely in the timeline? I could deal with it being, say, a century afterward, but that's a lot of material/characters to just dismiss. Tbh I'm going to be a total mess when the movies come out, especially if I think Jaina (or any of the Solo kids, but mainly Jaina) should have been in it. And then I'll probably be back at fanfic again. Maybe it'll spawn loads of awesome fanfic where the EU canon characters get inserted into the new film canon. But hey, more Star Wars movies. (I'm switching back and forth between glee and terror, haha.)

Discovering fanfic was such a game changer, I just had no idea that it even existed, how much of it was available, and all the options there were. Combining all of that with fandom, and being able to talk about stories and characters we loved in common was (and is) just so amazing.
