Made the mistake of checking in on Star Wars EU shenanigans and....
Seriously, I leave fandom for a little while for law school, and next thing I know apparently Jag is the Emperor (actually, I had to check like five different sources before I half-believed this) and Jaina is married to him. Jaina is married to Emperor Fel. I mean, is she seriously the Empress, or is this one of those things where he's abdicated, or something? And there is apparently a Fel dynasty thing going on? The SW wikia is so detailed I honestly hit my understanding ceiling somewhere around "dynasty" and now I can't. People who want to explain, feel free. (Although, impressed by how apparently EU is backing up my FaIC-style paparazzi stalking world, ie. it does exist/follow the Solos around.)
This sort of result pretty much sums up everything about law school, actually.
Haha, um, also, hi to anyone who might still out there. No idea if this actual posting thing will re-continue, just, my facebook feed would give a collective "..........what? who?" if I started screaming, "EMPEROR FEL WTF GUYS. WHAT. WHAT." (And seriously, WHAT.)
(My detour through the Star Wars wikia also ended up, inevitably, with me spiraling into ugly crying as I reviewed the whole Jacen-went-evil-and-JAINA-killed-him. That will actually never stop making me cry, and I stopped reading before all that actually happened. My poor Jaina. And Jacen, even though you were pretty much not even in my top 10. And TENEL KA, OMG NOW MORE CRYING.)
Yeah, when those new Star Wars movies come out, if they include Jaina, I am going to be a wreck. Actually. So much for being out of fandom.
