"Say I Do" Film Screening and Workshop
The mail-order bride industry has exploded with the advent of the Internet. Websites, newspaper advertisements, and pen pal agencies sell contact information to link men from the West with women from developing countries.
This workshop will feature a screening of "Say I Do," a documentary chronicling the experiences of three Filipino mail-order brides in Canada.
A discussion on the film and the mail-order bride industry will follow the screening.
