Oh, would you look at that...

I'm not going to New Zealand. Nope. Not at all. Not going. End of story. Yep. That's it. Nada.

Instead, I'm going to Vancouver in Canada!

See, Mum's decided that rather than just going to New Zealand, (which is about as "over the road" as you can get on the only island continent) we'd go somewhere a bit... further for the ski trip. Okay, understatement - much further. She told me that she knew I'd always wanted to go, ever since I was little, and so she was going to, one way or another, this Christmas, take me to Canada. She's been haggling away on the phone all day. At this rate, the flight's going to cost us each $1,100 return. All up, we'll be paying... $2,200AUD! That's, like, NOTHING! And that's got the tax included, even! *faints*

Okay, so half this trip is going to be credit-card funded. (please find the bank manager who gave one to her; I'd like to knock him cold. Seriously) This will obviously rack up a massive $2,000 debt, but heck. It'll be like the mortgage we never had, only much, much smaller. :P I'm not sure I disagree so much anymore, anyway. Mum's going, and she's taking me, whether I like it or not. Regardless. Might as well enjoy it. ;D

And besides, it'll be only the second time I've ever seen real, tangible snow, and my very first white Christmas. Which, I'm sure, is a lot better than a stinking hot and sweaty Christmas, where everyone's complaining about the air con not working hard enough. *laughs*

This ought to be interesting.

holiday, christmas, money, canada, oh mai
