What a weekend. WHEW! That was a ton of work that I'm finally feeling rested from.
Thursday and Friday got together the furniture/things that I wanted to put in the truck to come up North. Friday, packed the truck. Jeez, that took us all day! Steve and I did a fantastic job of packing it if I may say so myself. Of course we had my mother (the peanut gallery) shouting suggestions from the sidelines. They were good suggestions though so I guess that's ok. Saturday we left early to drive up to KW and unload at Steve's sister's. Our temporary storage space. Many thanks again to
bridgeoutahead and
therealcrispy for heading over to help. Things are always a bit more fun with you guys around. *g* Then out to dinner...we've got to feed the workers ya know...and then the real fun started.
When we got back from dinner Steve checked the times for the bus back to Toronto. Turned out there was an 8:45 bus! But it was 8:00 when we figured it out. Could we race over, return the truck and drag our shit down to the bus station in time to catch that sucker? YES!! WE DID IT!! At 8:45 we were tucked tiredly and safely on the bus heading home. The bus ride made me a bit headachy but I think that was more the lack of sleep at that point then the actual ride itself. And did anyone catch that moon on Saturday? Good goddess it was magnificent. Even from the bus window. *g*
I fell into bed as soon as we got home and slept harder than I have in months. Man I needed that. Yesterday we went to see Sicko. If you see it, take some tissue. EEP! What a story. *frown* Then Steve and I chilled at the casa while I finished an Astro necklace for a friend. I have a ritual of watching Almost Famous while I make necklaces so we broke that out and watched it last night. What a great movie. Just solidly entertaining. Never gets old and stands the test of time.
Didn't make it to
knotty_mark's as we decided to sit in and relax...but HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUV!! I'll see you on Wednesday.
Today we're going to see Ratatouille and take in some Echo Sushi! YAY!! Hope everyone's weekend was wonderful!
