Study Abroad Update

I finally got my student visa a few days ago. Now all I really have to do is buy a plane ticket and pack. Buying plane tickets is a bit of an issue though because the price of the ticket is definitely over the limit of my credit card. TN Tech is refunding my airfare up to $1000, but since I really have no clue how overdraft charges work I'm wary of overcharging my card even if it's refunded before my monthly bill comes in. Waiting until my financial aid comes in is another issue though, since that money probably won't be in my account until the day before I leave. Oh joy.

I also registered for classes at Chung-Ang last month. I'm really excited about my schedule. I don't have any classes on Tuesdays! Their scheduling is a little bit different than universities here. Most of the classes only meet once or twice a week instead of two to three times a week. This means that a three credit hour class often meets for three hours straight once per week. Not that I mind that though. I just thought it was an interesting contrast to what I'm used to. Anyways, my schedule goes something like this:

Basic Korean for Foreigners Wed. 10 - 11:50, Thu. 11:00 - 11:50
Exploring Korean Performing Arts Through Field Trips Wed. 13:00 - 14:50
Exploring Korea Through Film Wed. 15:00 - 17:50
Art and Space Thu. 9:00 - 10:50
Culture and Education in Korea Thu. 15:00 - 17:50
Movie Business Fri. 13:00 - 15:50

I just now realized that I have no classes on Monday either. And I was excited about not having class on just Tuesdays....

I'm considering starting a blog specifically for my adventures in South Korea. Thoughts?
