Well we woke up this morning to lots of snow! Mike says it is likely somewhere between 6-8 inches. Apparently it was really sticky snow because is coated the tress and even my birdfeeder (which sports about 3 inches on the top I was shocked). It looks like we are living in a winter wonderland. Everything is white, clean and pristine. I really like snows like this until it turns gray and there are footprints randomly all throughout it.
Christmas was good. I spent around 10 days at my parents house while Mike took one long weekend (he had to work on the 26th) and then another weekend in Midland. We spent time with both the Anderson and Poublon families. It was the fun juggle of trying to see both sides of the family and seeing some friends. We were really excited to be able to see Steve and Emily. They were in from California and we went to dinner, played cards and spent a lot of time catching up. While Mike was at work in Portage I enjoyed my time in Midland. Mom and I got beauty treatments and I went to a 2 hour sewing class for my new machine. When Mike was able to return to Midland we had a great Chili lunch with Gonzales and crew and got to meet Mandy's boyfriend that we have been hearing about.
This week I have off, school starts on the 7th. I am using my time off to get things done!!! With the last 8 weeks being swimming or christmas I feel like I am behind and my to do list keeps growing without taking any items off. Since we were "snowed in" today and Mike had the day off we conquered a lot of my do to list. Everything from taking down the christmas tree and putting the living room back together to putting all the gifts away and starting to clean out the basement has been done. Phew not to mention laundry!! Being gone for over a week does generate a lot of laundry. Well I am off to pull more laundry out of the dryer.
