Ok, I'm gonna do it. We have an upgrade kit to Windows XP professional and I'm gonna throw caution to the wind and try it.
I'm feeling kinda feisty and dangerous. <----- kidding LOL
Soooooo, if I don't update for awhile, know that either I've thrown my computer out the window, I've lost all my files, or I'm doing the happy dance all the way to the ipod store.
This is making me so nervous, I don't know why. My computer is such a huge part of my life and the thought of it getting screwed up unnerves me!
I'm just gonna let it do its THING and go cut the grass. I can't bear to watch...
**UPDATE: It worked! I am currently running on windows XP. It seems to have quite a few bugs and several of my programs aren't working quite right, but it IS working. Woooo hooooo. Partay. I had to resort to an older dick and jane version of aol to read my email and get a bunch of patches to view those new video thingies though. Oh and my digital camera won't work either. I know it's just a matter of finding the right patches and tweaking things just right. Apparently this is XP PROFESSIONAL, which has waaaay more options and tweaking than the mundane version. Lucky me. I don't know squat about port settings and firewalls and all that crap, but I'm confident I shall figure it out.
Must get my camera and music stuff working properly! Haven't tried my dvd screencaps yet either. Hmmmmmmmm.
