Finally, after four very long years, the torturous days of high school are over. Yesterday was my last day at Lakeland High School. It did feel kind of weird though. It didn't feel like the last day. Thank god no one I knew cried.
We were planning on going to the St. Mary's fair, but the weather report said it was going to rain (which it didn't, and that pissed me off). Instead, we took Dave's little sister Anna to see Monster-In-Law (very funny) and then ended up meeting Dave's mom and sister Michelle up at the mall. I ended up having a very healthy pretzel for dinner, even though I already had a donut and ice cream that day. I think my body hates me for it. After that, Dave and I came home and relaxed and I finally played Fable with him. It was a little to complicated for me. I'll stick with one dimensional games any day.
Today I have to work until 9:30, then head out to Ann Arbor for Josh's little shindig his fiance Crystal is throwing him since he didn't get to go to his Prom. Tomorrow Dave and I are actually going to the fair, and his mom and sisters are going to meet us there later. On Monday, we're going to the 89X Birthday Bash and seeing The Killers! This excites me. However I have a feeling I am going to be tired. On Tuesday and Wednesday I work, on Thursday I have grad rehearsal and work. Friday we get to move Dave to his Dad's house. Exciting stuff.
I have been invited to 5 grad parties, with more invites scheduled to come in the mail. I find this to be highly annoying. First, I can't take off work for these stupid things. Second, they are always boring as hell because everyone's Grandpa Joe and Aunt Tammy are wandering around and it's just uncomfortable. Third, invite your damn relatives, not your friends. Your friends aren't going to give you any money. Lastly, you graduated high school. Big damn deal. Especially in the Huron Valley district. Any nimrod could graduate. It doesn't take a genius. These "parties" are blatant requests for monetary gifts that, frankly, are undeserved.
On a happier note, Dave's and my one year anniversary is just two weeks away. Very exciting stuff. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm going to go look at wedding stuff. Now that I'm out of the hell pit planning will be easier to plan it.
