Not entirely kitty free day, but I got work done!
Even with sweet and demanding kittens to play with who have already got the “here let me climb on your laptop and get your attention” down to an art, I got a good bit done on Bloodstained Innocence. Can you imagine batting four sets of paw off the keys? Crazy making!
For a file that started at about 35k, hitting 54k today is not bad at all. I’ve been spot editing here and there, typos and such, but once I get the last two chapters added and make sure the old and new versions flow well, it should be good to send off to the betas.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about making all of the changes, but looking at the story now it’s tons better with the extra chapters and scenes. Less romancy and more action and paranormal. It doesn’t seem to affect the emotional impact that I can tell, and it focuses more on Ash’s connection to the little girl, then the romance. I feel like that’s a better feel for the story as w whole. We’ll see what the beta’s think soon enough.
